Summary
NSU provides routine operations support for Sutter Hospital. Routine and preventative maintenance is essential to ensure performance of the system. Working at a hospital requires additional attention to detail so that all operating parameters remain within acceptable tolerances, including those mandated by OSHPOD.
Inventory management is also essential to ensure all parts, materials and chemicals that are essential to the system’s operation remain fully stocked and available in the event of unforeseen shutdowns. Prompt response to alarm conditions is also mandatory given the zero-tolerance requirement for disruption to the Hospitals water supply.
Challenge
The hospital’s water system is of utmost importance to the health, safety and lives of the medical workers and patients at Sutter Hospital. NSU is entrusted to dutifully manage and operate the Hospital’s water system, where the margin for error is zero.
