Summary
With our extensive background and years of experience in designing, constructing and operating decentralized treatment and water reuse systems, Natural Systems Utilities (NSU) is able to manage every aspect of the Owner’s wastewater infrastructure.Treatment is provided in three separate extended aeration treatment plants. Daily water quality testing and sampling is not only required for regulatory compliance, it is critical to NSU’s ability to control the biological treatment process. Mechanical equipment is checked daily to ensure screens and pumps remain operable and free of rags and other debris that is common to most sewer systems. As a final step, treated water quality is closely monitored by NSU staff to ensure suitability for golf course irrigation. As the operator of record, NSU is accountable for all aspects of regulatory compliance. And while we work closely with the Owner’s facilities team, NSU has earned our place as a proven partner who can be relied upon to manage all aspects of the wastewater system.
Challenge
Also, NSU continues to operate a system that is over 40 years old. Equipment breakdowns are unpredictable, however, the Owner has been able to rely on NSU’s immediate response to issues as they develop. NSU continues to recommend and implement improvements to the aging system to enable the Owner to delay capital investment and reduce long-term operating cost. ”
Highlights
